About Spring

Spring was raised in the Houston suburb of Spring, Texas. She loves life and the Lord and felt called into missions and nursing early on. She has traveled the world on mission trips and has had many different experiences.

After obtaining her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the University of Mary Hardin- Baylor she went to Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary to go into the Ministry Based Evangelism degree. However, as she was applying for the program – they were getting rid of it. She prayed about what God would have her to do – and she knew that God was leading her to minister to women. In December 2008, she graduated with her Master of Arts in Christian Education with a concentration in women’s ministry. While in seminary she worked as a full-time nephrology and kidney transplant nurse.

After graduation – the Lord led her to join the staff at Denman Ave Baptist Church as a part-time women’s ministry director and shortly after living there, joined the staff at Angelina College as a full-time nursing instructor. And then, she met Charles and she knew that was where God was leading her next….the rest is history….

About Charles

Charles grew up in Dyer, TN which is in rural West Tennessee where he faced more challenges than the average boy having been diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy when he was four. However, that did not restrain him from living as normal a life as possible. He was involved in many different things and even became widely recognized for a colored pencil drawing of “The First Day of Harvest” on his family’s farm which is still displayed on the MDA’s art gallery website today.

He went to college at Union University in Jackson, TN with plans of getting a degree in business management. That changed by end of the spring semester after he felt God had called him into ministry. He changed his major to Biblical Studies with an emphasis in languages and pursued preparation for the life he thought God had called him into. It was true that God had called Him into ministry, but not exactly how he thought. God called him into the same lifestyle of ministry that he calls every Christian into. A lifestyle of ministering to others intertwined with every day life and work. Charles went forward with his degree in the area of Christian Studies after making some changes and completed college with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion/Philosophy with a Minor in Business Administration.

As Charles was completing his degree and in business classes there grew a huge need for him in his family’s trucking business, Reed Logistics. With the knowledge obtained in his classes, he was able to help the company expand and grow over the years. And now serves as the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.
